Jack Wilshere expects to sign fresh Arsenal contract after holding talks with Arsene Wenger
Jack Wilshere says he is sure he will sign a new contract at Arsenal, but first he must hold talks with Arsene Wenger.
The England international is out of contract at the end of the season but, unlike some of his team-mates, it’s clear he wants to stay at the Emirates.
Having recently fought his way back into the first-team, it seems a deal is on the cards.

Wenger recently suggested money could prove a stumbling block.
‘I believe if he can meet a point of agreement financially, he will want to stay,’ said the Arsenal manager.
Speaking after Arsenal’s win over Crystal Palace, Wilshere confirmed that talks need to be held, but was positive an agreement would be reached.
‘We’ll see when he [Wenger] speaks to me but I’m sure it will get done, yes.’
Wilshere was excellent in the 3-2 victory at Selhurt Park, providing a sublime assist for Alexis Sanchez to score Arsenal’s third goal.
‘I was happy with my form last year. I’m probably playing better now. I feel fitter and I am enjoying my football,’ he told Sky Sports.
‘This is a difficult place to come and we have adapted to different types of football. We hit them twice on the counter.’
