This is 19-year-old Mike Riddick.

It’s currently peak prom season over in the states and as such, she’s been reminiscing about her senior dance back in 2016 – when she was wearing this incredible dress.

And it was while she was going through her old photos that she had an idea: she still had the dress…so why not allow someone else to wear it?

After all, how many wears can you really get out of a gown this fabulous?

So she took to Twitter and offered it up, along with some shoes and a makeup artist, to any local girls in need.

‘I offered my prom dress because why not?’ she tells BuzzFeed News.

‘I know so many young women are going through financial instabilities.

HI? i’m willing to let a girl in *need* use my prom dress. USE FOR THE NIGHT. I need you to be in MD, specifically glen burnie or close to. I have shoes for you as well as a makeup artist if you need that as well. IM NOT CHARGING YOU ANYTHING, JUST HAVE A GREAT NIGHT!!!!! https://t.co/HRofpgELQg

‘They’re paying a thousand college fees or maybe working overtime to give their paychecks to their families. These are all the things I’ve witnessed young women go through while I was in school. Or, honestly, there are just girls who are struggling to find a dress.’

The tweet soon gained traction, with thousands of retweets and messages of support.

Amid the interest, one girl came to her house with her mum to try on the dress immediately and it was a perfect fit.

‘Her mother cried and it made me so happy…not to see her tears but to relieve her stress,’ says Mika.

Her simple act of generosity has now inspired others to follow suit – offering local teens their prom gear.
