Paris Saint-Germain star Thomas Meunier has suggested he will leave the club this summer if Unai Emery stays in charge.

The Belgian is out of favour in the French capital and is stuck behind Dani Alves in the pecking order.

PSG are on course to win a domestic treble but Emery is expected to be sacked after coming in for heavy criticism for his tactics in Champions League last-16 exit to Real Madrid.

Meunier is a target for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United and the full-back has hinted he could leave PSG if Emery is not sacked.

‘I’m waiting because a lot of things, including the coach, will change,’ said Meunier.

‘I am no longer 18, I am 26, I am in full possession of my means.

‘I need to assert myself in a club. I need to show what I can do. The club knows my position.’

Mourinho will focus on strengthening his defence and midfield this summer after stating that he was happy with his attacking options following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez.

Meunier has admitted in the past that he is a Manchester United fan and celebrated the club’s 2-1 win against Chelsea last month by congratulating compatriot Romelu Lukaku.
