Manchester United board agree to pursue Kieran Tierney
Manchester United have firmed up their interest in Celtic defender Kieran Tierney as they look to add reinforcements to defence and midfield this summer, reports claim.
The Scotland international has impressed the Red Devils scouting department and finds himself high up on Jose Mourinhos wish list after a series of impressive displays this season.
Tierney has long impressed Manchester United officials, but any doubts they had over inexperience have no been quashed with the 20-year-old performing admirably in both the Champions League and on the international stage.

United chiefs believe he would be a perfect addition for the club due to his versatility – something Mourinho values highly in his squad.
Tierney is a left-back by trade but is capable of playing on the opposite flank as well as part of a three-man defence.

And United believe he is an affordable, realistic summer target, according to the Daily Record.
Alex Sandro remains Mourinhos first choice left-back addition but Tierney is viewed as a less expensive option and the Scots ability to play in any position across the backline makes him a particularly attractive prospect for the Portuguese.
Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind will all be moved on and Tierney is set to be one of the men to replace them.
