Joseph Parker: Anthony Joshuas weight loss proves hes taking me seriously

Joseph Parker was pleased to see Anthony Joshua tip the scales at his lightest weight since 2014.

The WBO champion is the lighter man by six pounds, but Joshuas weight loss means the Kiwi will not have as much of a speed advantage as he was hoping for.

Joshua is the lightest he has been since his tenth professional fight, and Parker believes the weight loss proves the Brit is taking him seriously.

Parker will be six pounds lighter than Joshua as he aims to execute a game plan to tire his rival out before going for a late stoppage.

Joshua is the heavy favourite going into the contest, and can add the WBO title to his world title collection by beating Parker in Cardiff.
