Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero could still play a part when City travel to Goodison Park to face Everton on Saturday evening.

The Argentina forward has been sidelined for the next two weeks after feeling discomfort in his knee during training and missed both of his national sides friendly fixtures during the international break.

Speaking ahead of Saturdays game, manager Pep Guardiola told reporters: He is much, much, much better. We will see tomorrow.

City could claim the title against Everton on March 31, although results elsewhere need to go their way.

Victory over Everton on Saturday would set City up for the derby clash with Manchester United the following week – where a win would see them crowned champions.

If Aguero fails to recover in time for the trip to Merseyside, he will be hoping to be back in the side when City face Evertons local rivals Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-finals in midweek.
