Justin Trudeau: UK can have “even better” deal with Canada than Ceta
The UK and Canada can negotiate a "more impactful" trade relationship as soon as Brexit goes ahead, Just Trudeau has said.
The Canadian Prime Minister said that negotiations between the two countries can begin "the day after" Britain officially leaves the European Union in less than a year.

“Trade deals are always challenging but it should be fairly easy for all of us to get to an improved approach on trade between Canada and the UK,” he told The Times in an interview.
He said that the existing relationship between Canada and the EU would be a "first step" in building the new trade partnership, but that Brexit would allow Canada to have a "larger" deal with the UK.
His comments echo those of his finance minister, who said last month that the UK and Canada should aim for an even better trade deal than the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (Ceta).
