Manchester Uniteds players goaded their Manchester City rivals on and off the pitch after claiming a stunning come-from-behind victory at the Etihad last weekend.

Pep Guardiolas side appeared to have one hand on the Premier League title after going two goals up in the first half, but succumbed to a 3-2 defeat after a stunning, Paul Pogba-inspired comeback.

It marked a complete reversal from the last time they had met at Old Trafford, when City emerged victorious, and the visitors over-zealous celebrations led to a now infamous tunnel melee.

Although Uniteds latest revenge victory appeared to pass off without any drama, The Sun now report that the Red Devils did not let Citys players forget what happened last time.

At Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho had asked City to turn down their music and show more respect – but this time it was United who turned the volume all the way up to 11.

It is claimed that the away dressing room had their speakers blaring as they turned up their music as loud as possible, while they also started dishing out insults once Chris Smalling had given them the lead.

The United players had discovered that Citys players had already booked tables at restaurants to celebrate their win on Saturday night, and United delighted in spoiling their party.

Booked tables have you? Well take your f***ing tables, was one insult thrown on the pitch as tempers began to heat up towards the end of the game.

A melee almost broke out on the pitch when Fernandinho clipped Jesse Lingard just seconds after Sergio Aguero had a penalty shout turned down, and local lad Lingard is said to have been the most vocal in goading Citys players.

Uniteds victory denied City a record-breaking, earliest ever Premier League title win, and they now need two more victories to guarantee the title.
