Arsenals CEO Ivan Gazidis has warned that the next manager to replace Arsene Wenger will not have the same power and influence as the 68-year-old had at the club.
Wenger will call time on his 22-year stint as manager at the end of the season, despite having one year remaining on his contract.
The Frenchman played a pivotal role in the clubs transformation following his arrival in 1996 and made the final decisions over transfers, as well as player contracts.
But the arrival of Sven Mislintat as the clubs head of recruitment and Raul Sanllehi as the head of football relations has seen Wengers influence diminish in the final stages of his time at Arsenal.
Gazidis has said that Arsenals hierarchy will now begin the process of finding Wengers successor, but insists the new manager will not have the same breadth and scope as his predecessor.

Arsene earned his position at the club after 22 years, I dont think there will be other managers if you look forward who will have that kind of authority at the top of the game, at the biggest clubs, said Gazidis.
But obviously its the most important appointment that any club makes and still the most important employee that any club has.
I dont diminish the role, I just think it will be unrealistic to say that anybody comes in will have the breadth and scope Arsene has had at the club.
