Arsene Wenger has no plans to retire from football and will open talks with Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco after leaving Arsenal, according to reports.

The 68-year-old has decided to call time on his 22-year reign as Arsenal manager at the end of the campaign.

The Frenchman, who still had a year remaining on his contract, broke the news to his shocked squad at the training ground on Friday morning.

But Wenger is understood to be dismayed by the conduct of Arsenals board after he was issued with an ultimatum.

Wenger was allegedly told by Arsenals hierarchy that he would be sacked at the end of the campaign if he did not leave on his own terms.

According to The Sun, Wenger is still open to remain in management and is set to hold discussions with PSG and Monaco.

PSG are set to sack Unai Emery at the end of the campaign and have already been in talks with ex-Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel, who has also been linked with Arsenal.

Wenger, who is close friends with PSGs president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, could even be offered a role as sporting director and could replace Antero Henrique this summer.

Monaco could also be another option for Wenger having already guided the club to the Ligue 1 title in 1988.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have begun the search for Wengers successor and have already held talks with former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique.

The Gunners also have Tuchel and Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri on their shortlist.
