Arsene Wenger already getting job offers following Arsenal exit announcement, reveals David Dein
David Dein has revealed that Arsene Wenger is already being contacted with job offers following his announcement he will be leaving Arsenal.
The French manager dropped the bombshell news that he would be departing after 22-years at the helm last Friday.
There is some uncertainty over what Wenger will do next, but should he choose to remain in management, he wont be short of offers.

Dein, the man who brought Wenger to Arsenal and who was vice-chairman of the club up until 2007, has revealed theyve already started coming in.
He will have no shortage of offers from clubs, said Dein.
I had calls from various people on Saturday asking “can I speak to Arsene?”
Dein, who remains very close to Wenger, said he is unsure if his friend will want to continue in day-to-day management.

The question is whether he will want to do it anymore. Its getting more and more difficult and its become a bit of a pressure cooker.
Over the last few years he has been approached by some of the biggest clubs in the world.
Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, the [England] national team… they all wanted him at some stage.
Hes going to be 69 in October but he keeps himself extraordinarily fit. Hes the same weight as when I first met him, hes got a very active mind and such a knowledge of the game.
Life without Arsenal is going to be tough for him initially. Its a way of life and he will feel there is unfinished business.
Its rather like a bereavement and the various stages. The first stage is denial and finally you get to acceptance and you move on.
So Arsene has to have a good holiday and decide what he wants to do next.

Dein revealed that Wenger came close to quitting after winning the FA Cup last season.
This decision has been coming. At the end of last season I was discussing with him whether he was going to stay or leave and he was a bit undecided.
It was definitely an option for him to leave last year but he felt responsible for the players coming through and decided to stay.
But in the last few weeks I felt it was getting more difficult for him, particularly with the team results, and I thought then it was unlikely that he was going to stay on after the end of the season.
Dein says that despite a tough final few years at Arsenal, Wengers legend is secured. The French coach, who arrived in 1996, will leave with three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup wins to his name. He could even add a European trophy to that with Arsenal still involved in the Europa League.

He will go down in history as the greatest Arsenal manager ever. What he has done for the club is immeasurable, said Dein.
