He said: We want to keep going & be good because we know that a new manager is coming, so maybe everything will change.

We dont know if everyone can stay in the club.

The France international has been left out of the squad for Sundays trip to Old Trafford, however, with Thursdays make or break Europa League semi final second leg tie against Atletico Madrid in mind.

Whatever the outcome in the Spanish capital, Lacazette is thankful Wenger brought him to the Emirates Stadium after he came close to signing for Atletico last summer before they were slapped with a six-month transfer ban.

For every French person, Arsene Wenger is a great manager, he added.

He was 22 years in the club so he has a good image in France and for a player like me we want to finish well for him.

I saw him before I signed and we talked for a long time because it was a big decision to change my life.

;Im always thankful to him because he believed in me to come from France and go to Arsenal.
