Roma goalkeeper Alisson admits Mohamed Salah is starting to hold the same fear factor as Lionel Messi.

The Egypt international left Roma last summer in a £38million move and has been a revelation at Liverpool, scoring 43 goals in all competitions and been crowned both PFA and Football Writers Player of the Year.

Salah scored twice, and chose not to celebrate, in last weeks 5-2 Champions League semi final first leg against Roma and, ahead of the return match Alisson, believes his former teammate is establishing himself as a genuine contender for the Ballon dOr.

He [Salah] has innate talent and now has an incredible confidence in himself, but we can stop him playing as a team.

Messi is the strongest player Ive played against, but now Momo [Salah] is feared like him.

With the season hes having he can get into contention for the Ballon dOr, or at least get among the top three, even if the games are done after the Champions League and especially after the World Cup.
