Manchester United squad left deflated by Jose Mourinhos speech after FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea
Manchester Uniteds players were left even more downbeat after their FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea following Jose Mourinhos abrupt speech in the dressing room at Wembley.
Metro.co.uk understands that Mourinho spent less than 10 minutes in the dressing room after the 1-0 loss to Antonio Contes side and made little attempt to galvanise his players in the aftermath of the result.
Its understood that members of Uniteds squad were expecting Mourinho to deliver a speech, especially as the Portuguese had insisted in his interviews after the game that his side were better than Chelsea and deserved to win.
But instead, the United manager spent little time addressing his players and simply used the opportunity to thank his squad for their efforts this season and wished them well ahead of their holidays and the World Cup.

Mourinho also rejected the chance to return to the team hotel in London with the players and staff after the game.

There is even a feeling at United that Mourinhos curt message and demeanour was an indication that he didnt want to waste time on players he knows wont be at the club next season.
Mourinho is actively looking to offload several members of his squad this summer, including Daley Blind, Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian.
The futures of both Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial, who started on the bench for the FA Cup final, are also in doubt.
Alexis Sanchez, meanwhile, cut a frustrated figure at Wembley by sitting away from his United teammates as Chelseas players picked up the trophy.
The Chilean was also involved in a heated bust-up with Pogba on the pitch, with the pair arguing in the second half while United tried to find an equaliser after Eden Hazards first-half penalty.
