Borussia Dortmund will not be signing Michy Batshuayi this summer from Chelsea, according to Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc.

The Chelsea forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Dortmund and scored nine goals in 14 appearances.

Batshuayis form sparked rumours Dortmund wanted to make his loan move permanent, but Chelsea are believed to have rejected their advances.

With a new coach imminent at Chelsea, the club are convinced Batshuayi still has a bright future at Stamford Bridge.

And with Chelsea refusing to budge on Batshuayi, Dortmund look to have given up on signing the Belgium international.

He told Kicker: We are searching for Mister X, but it is not Michy Batshuayi.

There is nothing to be reported today, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

Chelsea fans will be delighted to learn Batshuayi is unlikely to leave the club this summer after watching the striker flourish in Germany.

Batshuayi struggled to break into Antonio Contes starting eleven before asking to be sent out on loan amid fears he would be booted from Belgiums World Cup squad if he continued to warm the Chelsea bench.

The 24-year-olds time in Germany was a major success and earned him a spot in Belgiums squad and is currently in Russia at the World Cup.

Chelsea will soon have a new head coach as Conte is set to be fired and replaced by former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri.
