Harrowing stoppage as Muay Thai fighter knocked out but his eyes remain wide open

Muay Thai fighter Grigor Stojanov scored a terrifying knockout victory over Phusarngyai Dabransarakham at MX Muay Xtreme.

All fight fans love a cracking stoppage, but this one will stick with you for all the wrong reasons.

Stojanov traps a hurt Dabransarakham up against the corner post and begins raining down heavy hooks.

Eventually one shot catches Dabransarakham cold and the fighter slumps down against the post, as the referee wisely steps in.

For a moment it seems Dabransarakham is just stunned and the referee even seems to try and speak to him, before it becomes apparent he is actually out cold.

It just so happens his eyes are open and although his arms are moving, its clear Dabransarakham is done for the night.
