Arsenal boss Unai Emery backs Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to rediscover his scoring touch against West Ham
Unai Emery has backed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to overcome his goal drought ahead of Arsenals game against West Ham on Saturday.
Aubameyang endured a difficult day in Arsenals 3-2 defeat to Chelsea last weekend, missing two gilt-edged chances to score. To compound matters, Chelsea scored their second goal straight after his first miss.
The 29-year-old also drew a blank in Arsenals opening day defeat to Manchester City at the Emirates but Emery has backed the striker to start converting his chances.

Speaking about this weekends game, Emery said: The first is to create chances, situations and attacking moments where the player arrive in the box and with the balance to use the small space the opposition gives us.

And then, I am sure they are going to score if we create a lot of chances in the game. The first idea for us on Saturday is to create these chances and then the players confidence for starting to arrive in the box, to score.
Maybe the players can not score three good chances in one match and on another day, I am sure they are going to do maybe the same chances in one match and score three.
For that, Aubameyang is a player who, in his career, has scored a lot and he is going to do that here also.
Aubameyang joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in a club-record £56m deal back in January and he settled quickly to the Premier League, scoring ten goals in 13 matches in the second half of last season.
That form followed a prolific four-and-a-half year spell in Germany in which he struck 141 goals in 213 games for Dortmund to emerge as one of Europes most clinical finishers.
So far this season, he has led the line in Arsenals attack with Alexandre Lacazette, the clubs former most expensive signing ever, being utilised as an impact sub.
Emery will be hoping that Aubameyang can rediscover his goalscoring touch this weekend with Arsenal looking to collect their first Premier League points of the season against their London rivals.
