Conor McGregor will spend the next two weeks in Las Vegas training at the UFCs Performance Institute.

The Irishman returns to the octagon on 6 October and will take on lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in his first MMA fight in almost two years.

Nurmagomedov took control of the lightweight division in McGregors absence, and the two enjoyed a fiery face-to-face at the first press conference in New York.

McGregor took aim at Nurmagomedovs character, his father and his heritage in what was a tense exchange of words between the two bitter rivals.

But with the media obligations fulfilled, McGregor and his coaching team have flown to Vegas to train on location for the next two weeks.

Owen Roddy, McGregors striking coach, gave fans a glimpse into training with his regular vlog series ahead of UFC 229 while the fighters F.A.S.T. conditioning team gave a tour of the mansion rented for the team.

McGregor and co. usually train at their base in Dublin at SBG Ireland, but will take advantage of the PIs state-of-the-art facilities.

The PI is free to all UFC fighters and offers recovery, medical and training facilities to the entire roster.

While the press conference well and truly kicked off the promotional circus, Nurmagomedov insisted McGregors taunts did not affect him.

I feel relaxed. I try to stay relaxed, he said.

Why I have to be like dog? Everything Im going to say will be on 6 October?

Nurmagomedov and McGregor headline UFC 229 at the T-Mobile Arena in a fight that is expected to break previous UFC records for pay-per-view sales and viewership numbers.
