Jose Mourinho confirms that Paul Pogba is no longer second captain at Manchester United

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he told Paul Pogba he would no longer be a second captain at Manchester United.
Pogba was partly at fault for Wolves equaliser against United at the weekend and Mourinho questioned the Frenchmans attitude after the final whistle to add to the growing tension between the pair.
The midfielder was rested as Derby beat United in a dramatic penalty shootout in the Carabao Cup third round on Tuesday night and watched on from the stands at Old Trafford.
Pogba has been standing in as skipper in the absence of Antonio Valencia but it appears the World Cup-winner has worn the captains armband for the last time this season.

Following Uniteds elimination from the Carabao Cup, Mourinho was pressed on rumours he stripped Pogba of the vice-captaincy in the aftermath of Saturdays draw with Wolves.
Asked if there had been a falling out with Pogba, Mourinho told Sky Sports: No, the only truth, the only truth i decided Paul is not the second captain anymore. No fall out at all.

Mourinho criticised Uniteds forwards for failing to kill the came when they had the chance versus Derby.
We didnt score when we could, we could in the first half, we had situations to kill it, the Portuguese said.
At half-time I repeated the same words as the last match. We didnt kill the game. We couldnt be dominant in the second half.

I prefer to be proactive and go for it. After the red card we are in a bit of difficulty. We reacted with pride, we tried until the last second.
The penalties come, somebody has to miss. I knew we were going to be in trouble with Jones and Eric.
