Chelsea have offered NGolo Kante a new long-term contract amid concerns Paris Saint-Germain will move to lure the midfielder to France, reports say.

Kante is an integral part of Chelseas side and has been ever present in Maurizio Sarris side this season.

Sarri is deploying Kante slightly further forward this season, but the Frenchman is still considered one of the worlds best defensive midfielders.

The Mirror claim Chelsea have moved to ensure they keep hold of Kante with a new deal and ward off unwanted transfer interest.

PSG are eager to bring in a new midfielder and have been repeatedly linked with a move for Kante in recent months, who is tied to Stamford Bridge until 2021.

Chelsea have zero interest in selling Kante, who arrived from Leicester City in a £32million deal in 2016.

Kante won the Premier League in his debut season at Chelsea, the first time a player has won back-to-back league titles with different clubs.

The 27-year-old is so highly regarded by his peers, Paul Pogba suggested his international team-mate deserved to win the Ballon dOr this year.

Kante admitted last month there had been contact with PSG, but insisted he was happy at Chelsea.

There was not a big desire on my side to go elsewhere after the World Cup, he said.

There was interest from other clubs, but after speaking with Chelsea, things were clear.

The club is counting on me and I feel good here. What was logical therefore was to stay at Chelsea.

There were some discussions with PSG. But after a discussion with Chelsea I understood that what was most important was to feel good where I was.

I feel good at Chelsea. It is good for me to stay at Chelsea.
