Alex Sandro contract talks break down amid Manchester United transfer links

Juventus and Alex Sandro are struggling to come to terms over a new contract, according to reports.
Manchester United have long been linked with a move for Sandro and were reportedly in transfer talks with the full-back during the summer.
Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Sandro, but Juventus have always refused to budge on their asking price.

La Gazzetta dello Sport now claim Juventus and Sandro are having issues in the latest round of contract talks.
Sandro wants £4.3million a season to put pen to paper on a new deal, while Juventus do not want to go higher than £2.6m.
The Brazilian, 27, is under contract at Juventus until 2020 and continues to be a crucial part of Massimiliano Allegris side.

Sandro has started all but one of Juventus games this season and has chipped in with one assist from left-back.

Mourinho was keen on Sandro with doubts over the future of Luke Shaw at the club.
However, Mourinho seems to have performed a U-turn on Shaw and approved a new long-term contract worth £50m.

Shaw has re-established himself at Old Trafford and is now the starting left-back at the club.
The defenders performances also led to him re-capturing a place in Gareth Southgates England squad, although he has missed this international break due to a knock.
United are set for a busy January window as Mourinho aims to inject some new blood into a squad currently struggling for consistency.
