Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho disguised himself and walked to Old Trafford after the team bus was once again caught in traffic prior to Tuesdays Champions League clash with Juventus.

The Red Devils were fined by UEFA for the late kick-off of their last European match against Valencia, while Mourinho was also warned after the match was delayed by five minutes.

United changed their usual pre-match routine to avoid a repeat, switching their base to the nearby Hilton hotel, which is just 250 yards away, though were still delayed due to the mass crowds waiting for the game.

Speaking about the delay, Mourinho – who made his own way to the stadium – told BT Sport: Yes, as you know we changed hotel. The hotel is just around the corner.

The players are on the bus for 45 minutes. And I walked, with a hoodie, in the middle of the fans, nobody recognised me.

I took two minutes, and what I did in two minutes walking the players cannot do in 45 minutes on the bus.

But Juventus is having the same kind of problem. I informed the UEFA delegate about the situation because we dont want to be punished again.

Uniteds players did eventually arrive at the stadium shortly after 7pm – a few minutes behind the Juve squad – which will give them precious little time to prepare before kick-off.

Mourinho named an unchanged line-up for the clash with Juve for the first time in 46 matches, with Anthony Martial once again lining up on the left wing after his brace against Chelsea last time out.
