Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool have no reason to do something really big during the January transfer window.

The Reds enjoyed a productive time during the summer transfer window, bringing Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson to Anfield.

The new signings have helped Liverpool made a superb start to the 2018-19 campaign and Klopps side sit joint-top ahead of this weekends round of fixtures.

Asked whether he will look to strengthen his squad even more in January, Klopp said: I dont think there is any reason to try to do something really big, like bring in another striker.

At the moment, it doesnt look like we will be too busy to be honest. But it all depends on injuries and things like that.

If something happens [to the squad] we might have to think new, but in the moment we have all what we need.

The Gunners won 11 straight games before drawing to Crystal Palace last weekend and Klopp insists Emery is an impressive manager.

All people in football knew how good he is but I am not sure all Arsenal fans were over the moon at first when they heard it would be Emery, he said.

But thats England a little bit, you want the poster boys. Unai was in France and before that in Spain in a smaller club, so you can go a bit under the radar.

Not for all the people in football, though. I saw yesterday that he won eight titles in two or three years. Thats pretty big.

Gunners boss Emery, meanwhile, said ahead of his teams encounter with Liverpool: We want to write a new history… I believe in my players and this project.

The result is very important but first I want to show them, to show you and to show everybody our best mentality in the game.

If we have a very big mentality in the game and a very big performance individually and collectively – and also we need some luck – then I think we can win.
