Massimiliano Allegri dismisses Medhi Benatias outburst amid Manchester United transfer links
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has dismissed questions about Medhi Benatias future at the club after the defender hit out at his manager this week.
Benatia vented his frustration at his lack of playing time this season, hinting Allegri may force him to seek a January transfer move.
Manchester United have since been linked with a move for Benatia, with some reports in Italy claiming the Red Devils had already registered their interest in the centre-back.
Juventus welcome United to Turin on Wednesday night in the Champions League, and Allegri brushed off Benatias comments ahead of the game.
It would certainly be just a case of him letting off steam, Allegri said.
Being in a big club also means being able to be left out. I think Benatia has played about half our 14 games this season in a part of the team where there are important players.
Players like him are hard to find and the same goes for (Andrea) Barzagli, (Giorgio) Chiellini and (Daniele) Rugani. Occasionally, there is an outburst.

Benatia has long been linked with a switch to the Premier League, with Arsenal regularly mooted as suitors.
Jose Mourinho is desperate to bring in defensive reinforcements this January, and Benatia could help steady the ship.

Benatia added fuel to the transfer speculation with his outburst over the weekend.
I struggle to play with no consistency. I was doing well last season because I was playing on a regular basis, he told La Stampa.
Now its not the same. This is my job and I always need to work hard to be ready to play but its a situation I dont like.
