Sergio Ramos left his mark on Milan Havel during Real Madrids 5-0 rout of Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.

Real dominated from the first minute, with Karim Benzema (2), Casemiro, Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos all scoring.

But Ramos will be making headlines for all the wrong reasons as he left Havel in a bloody heap in the 14th minute.

Havel and Ramos were running for the same ball when the defender cut the midfielder off, using his body to block his opponent from reaching the ball. Unfortunately for Havel, Ramos elbow smashed straight into his nose.

Blood immediately started pouring from Havels nose, and there was a significant break in play as medics tended to the 24-year-old.

It is not clear if Havels nose was broken, but he did continue until being substituted just before half-time.

Ramos was routinely booed by the home supporters, and there were plenty of football fans on social media insisting the centre-back intentionally struck Havel in the face.

that was so intentional, ramos is a psychopath, no one goes after hurting others so often and for no reason like he already got the ball, why elbow his face???? https://t.co/hyEjlse88l

The refereeing in the champions league needs to be looked at. Ramos gets away with a blatant elbow which should have been a sending off & Stirling falls over & gets a penalty for it. Ridiculous. #ChampionsLeague

Thats a deliberate elbow by Ramos and hes getting away with it again #UCL #PLZRMA
