Eden Hazard speaks out on Maurizio Sarris decision to play him as false 9 against Manchester City
Chelsea star Eden Hazard admitted it was strange to see so little of the ball in his sides win against Manchester City.
Goals from NGolo Kante and David Luiz gave Chelsea a superb 2-0 win against City at Stamford Bridge but Hazard spent most of the game on the fringes as Maurizio Sarri opted to use him in a false 9 position.
City dominated possession throughout and Hazard cut an isolated figure against Pep Guardiolas men, though he did superbly to set-up Kante for the opener.
Antonio Conte often used Hazard in a central striker position last term and although Hazard says hes used to the position, he admitted it was strange not to be in possession.
Asked if he was happy to play up front, Hazard replied: The feeling is a little strange because I dont get to touch the ball a lot in this position.
