Alexis Sanchez breaks silence on Jose Mourinhos Manchester United sacking
Alexis Sanchez has denied he was involved in a wager with teammate Marco Rojo over the future of now former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
The Special One was sacked on Tuesday following a turbulent start to the season which culminated in last Sundays 3-1 defeat at Anfield.
Sanchez has missed the last six games with a hamstring injury and has been recouperating in Chile ahead of his likely comeback at the start of next month.
The former Arsenal forward was reported to have bet £20,000 with Rojo that Mourinho would not see out the season but the 30-year-old, who celebrated his birthday earlier this week, has angrily denied those accusations.

Sanchez was reportedly desperate to quit United following a spectacular loss of form following his move from Arsenal last January.
The Chile international is said to have fallen out with Mourinho on multiple occasions and was unhappy with his tactical demands.
Asked how he would get the best out of the disillusioned high-profile members of the squad he has inherited from Mourinho, interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said on Friday: My job is to help the players, make them grasp the opportunity, they all wanna be part of Manchester United, Im here to help them, help the team, down to man management.
I had the best manager as a player and coach to deal with players and its about communication, Ill sit down and speak to the ones not playing. When youre at Manchester United there are a set of demands and one is to be a team player and I dont think anyone has been on the bench more than me! Thats all my comeback to players, you might come on, make an impact.
