Andy Murray and Johanna Konta may have to curb their New Years celebrations but British tennis fans enjoying a late night may find the scheduling of the Brisbane International to their liking.

The pair are in action in the day session in Australia, with Konta opening the play at 1am UK time against former US Open champion and world No. 6 Sloane Stephens.

Andy Murray – who climbed some 16 places in the rankings last night despite not playing a match due to the introduction of the new ITF rankings system – follows his compatriot on the Pat Rafter Arena, facing Aussie wildcard James Duckworth in a match that wont start before 3am UK time.
