Chelsea fans sent into meltdown as Nabil Fekir is mysteriously left out of Lyon squad
Many Chelsea fans are convinced the club are on the verge of their second January signing after Nabil Fekir was omitted from Lyons squad.
Maurizio Sarri has made no secret of his desire to bring in attacking reinforcements this winter, with Chelsea heavily dependent on Eden Hazard in the scoring department. Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud have managed only 12 league goals between them this season.
Gonzalo Higuain and Callum Wilson have both been heavily linked in recent weeks and Lyon attacking midfielder Fekir remains on Chelseas radar.
Liverpool were battling it out with Chelsea to sign Fekir ahead of the 2018/19 campaign but Jurgen Klopps side pulled the plug on a potential deal after a medical raised concerns over his right knee.
Reports suggest Chelsea are back in for Fekir and opened talks to sign the World Cup-winning Frenchman last month.

In the summer, Giroud revealed that he and Eden Hazard had talked to Nabil Fekir about the possibility of joining Chelsea.

I spoke to him when we were together in the French national team, when his move to Liverpool fell through, the Chelsea striker told Foot Mercato.
Then we discussed Chelsea, and I even think that Eden said a couple of words to him.
We would obviously welcome him, he is a super player, but I dont know if this is something that could happen as the window closes on Thursday.
