Mauricio Pochettino ready to reject Manchester United job to pursue Champions League glory with Tottenham
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has dropped a heavy hint hes set to reject the Manchester United job.
The Argentine is Uniteds first choice to permanently replace Jose Mourinho and the former Southampton boss was initially coy about the links by refusing to dismiss the speculation.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaers strong start at Old Trafford has quietened the rumours around Pochettinos future as the Norwegian makes a play for the role himself.
Nevertheless, United still favour Pochettino but the Argentine has suggested he will stay at Spurs.
My ambition is to win the Champions League one day with Tottenham, or the Premier League, said Pochettino.
The 46-year-old signed a long-term deal at Spurs last summer but has grown increasingly frustrated at the clubs transfer policy.

Tottenham failed to make a single signing last summer and the purse strings are set to tighten further as they move into their new stadium.
United are willing to make Pochettino one of the highest paid managers in world football and will hand him significant funds to reshape the squad at Old Trafford.
Spurs progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 7-0 win against Tranmere on Friday night as Pochettino targets his first trophy with the club.
United take on Reading at Old Trafford at 12:30 today for a spot in the next round.
