Louis van Gaal backs Liverpool to beat Manchester City to Premier League title
Former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has backed Liverpool to beat Man City to the Premier League title.
Defending champions City find themselves four points behind Jurgen Klopps in-form Reds after 21 games of the 2018-19 season.
That figure was seven before City beat Liverpool 2-1 at the Etihad on Thursday evening.

Klopp has turned Liverpool into an absolute fighting machine – both attacking and defending, Van Gaal, who spent two seasons at Old Trafford, told the Daily Mirror.
So, if I was to put my money on one club for the league, it would be Liverpool.
Liverpools team is not based on the highest quality when it comes to their players. In fact, the highest quality players are at City.
But, at the same time, that is the weakness in Guardiola. He only coaches his teams in an attacking way. Always.

The moment his team have to defend, they look terrible. Liverpool have a team that can defend much better.
Thats because Klopp has trained them to be a fighting force, whether they have the ball or not. Thats exactly what is lacking in Guardiolas team now.
Van Gaal, 67, added: City have fabulous football ideas and a sparkling way of playing – but not the right fighting spirit.
Dont get me wrong, I still love to watch the way City play. But the way Klopp makes Liverpool play is absolutely fantastic.
Premier League leaders Liverpool face Wolves in the third round of the FA Cup on Monday, while City take on Rotherham the day before.
