Manchester United sweating on Eric Baillys condition as defender is hauled off during Ivory Coast clash
Manchester United defender Eric Bailly had to be substituted during Ivory Coasts clash with Rwanda after a nasty collision late into the game.
The defender has been a bit-part figure since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge in December but with Victor Lindelof could miss Uniteds game against Watford on March 30th as his wife is heavily pregnant, meaning Bailly was in line to start.
However, after doubling his sides advantage against Rwanda with a fine header, Bailly had to be substituted after a nasty collision left team-mates fearing he had swallowed his tongue.
Bailly eventually rose to his feet but the team doctor didnt want to take any chances and he was removed immediately in order for him to make further checks.
The international break has proved costly to United so far with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Nemanja Matic all sustaining injuries.
