Dimitar Berbatov believes Matthijs de Ligt will be speaking to Virgil van Dijk about the prospect of a move to the Premier League.
De Ligt, 19, has established himself as one of Europes most promising talents following an incredible 12 months for Ajax and several clubs are preparing to do battle for the central defender ahead of the summer transfer window.
Barcelona are in pole position for De Ligt and Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and PSG have also expressed an interest in the Netherlands international.
The £60million-rated teenager has reportedly told his agent, Mino Raiola, to seal a deal with Barca, but hes also hinted at a possible move to Anfield to join up with international colleague Van Dijk.

Former United striker Berbatov is convinced by De Ligts burgeoning potential and has urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to go all out for the youngster.
One player I would love to see at Old Trafford is Ajax defender, Matthijs de Ligt, although I know every big club in Europe is after him, Berbatov told Betfair.
I watched him play against Real Madrid and he looks the real deal – so confident and assured for a player of his age.

According to Berbatov, Van Dijk will be giving De Ligt advice on the positives and negatives of joining an English club.
