Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri praises Declan Rice as Manchester United target £50m West Ham midfielder

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has praised Declan Rice in the wake of the West Ham midfielder being linked with a move to Manchester United.

The 20-year-old is reportedly on Uniteds shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window, while West Ham are expecting to receive bids in excess of £50 million for the England international.

Rice is in line to face Chelsea on Monday evening as West Ham travel to Stamford Bridge.

And Sarri admits he has been impressed with Rices performances for the Hammers this season.

I think that hes a very good player, very good in the defensive phase because hes really very able to recover the ball, Sarri said.
