NLSIU students call off stir after CJI’s assurance
BENGALURU: After three days of protests against delay in appointment of their vice-chancellor, the students of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) called off their stir after the Chief Justice of India – who's also the NLSIU chancellor – assured them that procedural formalities with regard to appointment of the new VC will be completed soon.
According to the media statement released by the Student Bar Association (SBA), senior NLSIU alumnus Gopal Sankaranarayanan met the CJI on Monday and informed him of the student body's concerns.
