14 more quarantined, samples sent for coronavirus check

NEW DELHI: Fourteen more people were quarantined on Tuesday in hospitals and at home in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Goa, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Nuh and Panipat for tests to check whether they had contracted the new strain of coronavirus (nCoV). Samples from most had been taken and sent to NIV, Pune for testing.
Of the 14 patients, five had been quarantined at their homes in Haryana (two in Gurgaon and one each in Faridabad, Nuh and Panipat). Haryana DG of health services Dr S B Kamboj said two of the five had exhibited multiple symptoms. The Centre, meanwhile, announced that four labs at Alleppey, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai — would begin testing samples for nCoV. Meanwhile, five more people from Hyderabad were put in isolation on Tuesday.
