Jose Mourinho tells Manchester United board Toni Kroos would be ideal signing

Jose Mourinho views Toni Kroos as the ideal summer signing for Manchester United, although he is willing to accept one of a multitude of alternative options as he looks to bolster his midfield options, according to reports.
The Portuguese boss is a huge fan of the Real Madrid star and believes he would be a perfect addition to the centre of the Manchester United midfield.
Mourinho has struggled to strike a balance with his current options, with Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba failing to gel in a two-man midfield and Red Devils chiefs are determined to add another player to their ranks.

With Michael Carrick set to retire, Mourinho is keen to add a pass master to the squad and he views Kroos as the perfect fit, according to the Independent.

However, securing the transfer of the former Bayern Munich man is set to be tough and Mourinho would also be satisfied with the arrival of Napolis Jorginho.

The Italy international, who is wanted by Liverpool, is viewed as a more viable option.
Should United be unable to sign the Napoli man, a shortlist of potential options has been drawn up, with Borussia Dortmund ace Julian Weigl, Valencias Carlos Soler and Shakhtar Donetsks Fred all under consideration.
