Romelu Lukakus place in major doubt as Unai Emery closes in on Arsenal record

Manchester City take on Spurs at Wembley on Monday night in the pick of this weeks round of Premier League fixtures.

Spurs let a 2-1 lead slip against PSV Eindhoven in midweek while Pep Guardiolas men demolished Shakhtar Donetsk.

Before then, though, all eyes are likely to be on Old Trafford on Sunday as Jose Mourinhos men look to put defeat against Juventus behind them against Everton.

Elsewhere, Chelsea will be looking to continue their unbeaten start against Burnley, while Newcastle search for their first win of the campaign against Southampton.

Will Romelu Lukaku be dropped?

It was hard not to feel some level of sympathy for Romelu Lukaku against Juventus on Tuesday.

The Belgians dangerously low on confidence at Old Trafford and has gone eight matches without a goal for the Red Devils.

Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci are hardly a centre-back pairing you want to face when youre enduring such a drought and Lukaku didnt get a sniff of goal against the Serie A giants.

But it was Lukakus overall performance that will really concern Mourinho, who admitted afterwards that the Belgians touch in this moment of time is worrying.

United welcome Lukakus former club Everton to the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday and it would be humiliating for the 25-year-old to be dropped against the Toffees.

Mourinho has stuck by Lukaku since his £75m move from Merseyside but the calls to drop him are getting louder by the week. Will he survive another week?

Mauricio Pochettino joked a bad Wembley pitch may actually help Spurs against Manchester City but no neutral will enjoy one of the games of the season being ruined.

Arsenal take on out-of-form Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday and few would bet against the Gunners extending their run to 12 wins in a row.

Can Chelsea survive without Eden Hazard?

The Belgian is a major doubt to return in time for Chelseas clash with Burnley at Turf Moor.

Hazard complained about a back injury during Chelseas 2-2 draw with Manchester United and told team-mates that he couldnt accelerate properly.

Maurizio Sarri left Hazard out of Thursdays 3-1 Europa League win against BATE Borisov but the winger failed to train on Friday and the Italian has admitted hes unlikely to be fit to face the Clarets.

Hazards been Chelseas star man so far this term, scoring eight times in 11 appearances.

Hes featured in every single league game for the Blues this term and an away game at Burnley without Hazard would be a good examination of Chelseas title-winning capacity.
