It took Daniel Cormier just two rounds to defeat Derrick Lewis at UFC 230, and the UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion was quick to name his next opponent in his post-fight interview.

Speaking to commentator Joe Rogan, Cormier called out former UFC star and current WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar.

Brock Lesnar! When you come, bring that brand new WWE title too, I feel like being a WWE champion too. Lets go! Lets go, Brock! Bring that belt with you if you come to my house, said Cormier at Madison Square Garden.

Cormier and Lesnar have been linked to fight each other since they scuffled inside the cage following Cormiers victory over Stipe Miocic earlier this year, and the championship bout seems all but confirmed following a dominant win by Cormier against Derrick Lewis in New York.

Lewis had a size and reach advantage, but Cormier set the tempo and took Lewis down at will before submitting him in the second round.

At 39, Cormier has suggested he has just one fight left in his decorated MMA career, and Lesnar looks to be the ideal opponent for him in terms of potential revenue.

Lesnar once again became WWE Universal champion after defeating Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel on Friday night.

Strowman and Lesnar were battling for the vacant title after Roman Reigns relinquished the belt due to his battle with leukaemia, but the match lasted just minutes after Lesnar destroyed Strowman.

The former UFC Champion will be hoping to replicate that success against Cormier should the two meet in as expected early next year.
