Many have questioned it, but the trilogy fight between Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz goes ahead this weekend at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

48-year-old Liddell has not fought since being knocked out by Rich Franklin in 2010, whilst Ortiz, 43, retired in January 2017 after a win over Chael Sonnen.

The pair have fought twice before, with Liddell stopping The Huntington Beach Bad Boy in 2004 and 2006 in the UFC, the company in which both men made their names.

The scrap is taking place under the banner of Golden Boy Promotions, who are venturing into MMA for the first time under Oscar de la Hoya.

Given that Liddell hasnt won a fight since 2007 and Ortizs record since then is 4-7, many are wondering why this fight is actually happening.
