WATCH: Rebellious raccoon sneaks into Queen St. record shop

A rebellious raccoon was caught on video rummaging through the storefront display of a record shop on Queen St.

In the Instagram video posted by Kelly Robson, the raccoon is seen sneaking around a Willie Nelson record in the storefront display.

Robson said of the situation: “My wife Alyx and I were walking by Kops Records on our usual route to work at 7:30 AM,” adding “She spotted the raccoon as we passed. Since the store was closed, we couldnt do anything about it so we walked on. Raccoons are smart and resourceful, so we figured if it got in, it could get out.”

Martin Koppel, the owner of Kops Records, said theyve had four incidents of raccoons finding their way into the record shop.

Koppel said his son, who works at the record store, found a mess in the store when he came in for the start of his shift. He checked security cameras and saw the critter tearing up the place at around 4 a.m.

Koppel made light of the situation saying, “thats life being downtown on Queen St.”

He thinks nearby renovations may have forced the raccoons to seek quiet refuge in the recor
