Son Heung-min sends heartfelt message to Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino after winning Asian Games
Son Heung-min thanked Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino for supporting him during South Koreas triumphant Asian Games campaign.
Spurs faced the prospect of losing Son for at least 21 months, with all South Korean men legally required to carry out military service before they reach the age of 28.
However, Son produced a stunning performance to earn military exemption as South Korea beat Japan 2-1 in Saturdays final at the Pakansari Stadium in Cibinong, Indonesia.
The 26-year-old grabbed two assists, setting up both Lee Seung-woo and Hwang Hee-chan in extra-time, and Ayase Uedas goal for Japan at the death turned out to be a consolation.
