Monaco are keeping close tabs on Chelsea wonderkid Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to reports.

Hudson-Odoi, 17, is regarded as one of the finest talents to emerge from Chelseas academy for some time and had a promising pre-season under Maurizio Sarri, even starting in the Community Shield against Manchester City.

However, the young forward, who won the Under-17 World Cup with England last summer, is yet to make a single appearance for Chelsea since the beginning of the campaign.

Sportsmail suggests Thierry Henrys Monaco are monitoring Hudson-Odois situation at Stamford Bridge ahead of a potential move for the promising teenager.

Sarri defended his decision not to pick youngsters such as Hudson-Odoi in the Europa League last month.

For Hudson-Odoi, in his position in the last match we played Pedro and Hazard. I have also played [Victor] Moses and Willian, he said ahead of Chelseas clash with PAOK.
