Chelsea are interested in Manchester United star Anthony Martial and will move for the Frenchman in January if they can offload one of their own forwards.
Martial is out of contract at the end of the season and the 22-year-old recently rejected Uniteds latest proposal.
United have the option of extending Martials deal with a 12-month extension clause but they fear theyll be forced into selling the Frenchman if he continues his unwillingness to commit to a long-term deal.
Martial scored twice against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier this season and the Blues will reportedly look to sell a forward player before bidding for the former Monaco ace.
United are desperate to tie Martial down to a new deal and fear he could realise his potential elsewhere.
However, an agreement is said to be very far away with Martial in no hurry to commit.

Martial signed for United in 2015 in a £58m deal from Monaco.
The Frenchman is a popular figure with United supporters and has scored in each of his last six league appearances for the club.
However, Martial has had numerous run-ins with Jose Mourinho and was fined in pre-season for going AWOL after the birth of his child in August.
