Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has reached a major milestone in his recovery from the cruicate knee ligament injury which has ruled him out of action since April.
After a slow start, the former Arsenal midfielder had emerged as a key component of Jurgen Klopps midfield engine room before he suffered a cruel blow in last seasons Champions League semi final first leg against Roma at Anfield.
The England international subsequently missed out on the World Cup and is unlikely to play an part in a season which could see Liverpool end their 29-year wait for the league title.
Despite another major setback in a career that has been severely hampered by fitness issues, the 25-year-old has worked tirelessly in the gym during his painstaking rehabilitation.
Oxldade-Chamberlain was rewarded for his efforts on Christmas Eve when he was deemed fit enough to run outside for the first time since the second major knee injury of his career.
The versatile midfielder hailed the milestone with a post on Instagram which was then commented upon by Mohamed Salah, with whom Oxldade-Chamberlain has formed a close relationship with, both on and off the pitch.
