Tiger Woods says winning his fifth Masters on a dramatic and emotional Sunday at Augusta is up there with the best of his 15 Major victories, ending an 11-year wait to win a major championship.

The 43-year-old started the day two shots behind Francesco Molinari but capitalised on the Italian making two rare slip-ups to shoot three birdies over four holes on the back nine to take the lead.

He held his nerve at the 18th, only needing a bogey to win, and after coming back from spinal fusion surgery just two years ago he regards this win as one of his best ever.

It would be up there. Its one of the hardest I think Ive ever had to win, just because of what has transpired over the last couple of years trying to come back to play, he said before being handed his fifth green jacket.

On the key to his win, he continued: I was as patient as I think Ive been in a number of years out there, especially the last three days.

The way I was plodding my way around the golf course, kept control of my emotions, my shots, my shot placement.
