Aaron Chalmers believes there will always be a section of the MMA community who will never accept him as a fighter.

The Geordie Shore star turned MMA fighter made his Bellator bow on Friday night in a London with another first-round finish.

Chalmers choked Ash Griffiths to sleep with a standing guillotine choke at Bellator 200, to announce himself on the big stage in a major promotion.

The 31-year-old proved himself to be a star attraction for fight fans as he got a heros welcome and sparked wild celebrations in the crowd when the referee stopped the fight.

But with criticism continuing to follow Chalmers, the Newcastle native thinks he will always have his nay-sayers.

Just because I come from Geordie Shore doesnt mean Im not a good fighter. I train as hard as anyone in my gym, Chalmers told the media after his win.

Brock Lesnar didnt work his way up and he was a UFC champion. People say it when it suits. Its okay for Brock Lesnar to go straight to the top, but its not for CM Punk.

Its pathetic really. I was given an opportunity and I took it. Four first-round finishes. Ive only been only training a year.

No will be happy until I get beat, simple as that. Even if I beat a 10-0, people would still say it was fixed. So thats why I dont give a s*** about what people think.

He added: Ill never be fully accepted as an MMA fighter, maybe because I jumped the gun. And I did jump the gun.

Chalmers is now 4-0 in his career, having made his pro debut a year ago.

Bellator have signed Chalmers to a multi-fight deal and the rising star confirmed he was planning to fight again in October.

Chalmers has mentioned the likes of Baby Slice, but admitted it was Bellator who ultimately decided his next opponent.
