Meghan Markle ‘preened to perfection’ with new look in CNN video – ‘softer side of her’

express– Meghan appeared in the video, filmed in the garden of her $14m California mansion, sat above a hedgerow of lavender. Her make up of pinky hues matched the setting well.

Meghan wore a natural look matching the setting, with pink eyeshadow and a shiny mauve lip.

An expert, Lisa Little, claimed: “Meghan’s recent public appearance showed us the softer side of her – when it came to her makeup that is.”

“The Duchess opted to do without the usual Hollywood glamour dark eyeliner, bronzed contour look and chose the softer, more radiant option,” the make-up artist told the Mail Online.

“With her perfectly placed liquid highlight she looked preened to perfection.”

The expert claimed the look was somewhat of a departure for Meghan, who in the past has favoured a more dramatic eye.

Meghan wore the make-up look with her hair in a loose ponytail, strands falling around her face.

Meghan has recently been voted the most influential royal when it comes to beauty in a new poll.

She beat Kate to the honour, and the Duchesses were the only two royals who made it into the poll.

Both royals have landed on a list of the most influential celebrities in the make-up industry, according to research by online premium beauty retailer LOOKFANTASTIC.

Meghan’s wedding make-up was fresh and youthful, and championed her feminist ideals according to an expert.

Caroline Barnes, Max Factor UK Make Up Ambassador, told Express.co.uk Meghan’s make-up was an extension of Duchess of Sussex’s belief in women’s empowerment.

She said: “It was the epitome of modernity. She has taken it on to another level.”

Caroline went on: “She’s obviously spent a lot of time making sure that her skin looks really really beautiful in order to make her base look very sheer.

“I can’t really see any foundation, her skin is flawless as in completely flawless. It takes a lot of confidence to do that.”

Meghan Markle wore the make-up look with a £6,000 Cartier bracelet and a pair of bird-shaped earrings.

Her Cariet Love Bracelet is a firm favourite of the Duchess who is rarely seen without it on her arm.

Meghan added her Catherine Zoraida earrings, in the shape of a swallow.

The pieces cost £380. The Duchess of Sussex paired them with the pale pink, beige toned pussy-bow collar shirt.

A body language expert claimed Meghan was “moved almost to tears” in “presidential” video.

Body language expert Judi claimed the Duchess became close to tears in the video, filmed in her £14m California home.

She told Express.co.uk: “This is a new look for Meghan who has swapped her cool, informal or impassioned style of delivery for something that combines softness and empathy with an almost presidential vibe.

“The softness comes from her floral surroundings and the soft satin blouse and matching pink lipstick.”
