Manchester United board hand Jose Mourinho SIX names to partner Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic next season
Manchester United officials have reportedly come up with six names for Jose Mourinho to assess in his pursuit of a new central midfielder this summer, with some top European talent being tracked.
With Michael Carrick retiring, the Red Devils are set to spend big on a player to emulate the England internationals influence as Mourinho seeks the ideal partner for Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic.
The clubs scouts have been scouring the globe far and wide and have come up with several potential targets for Mourinho to offer his opinion on.

Bayern Munich ace Arturo Vidal is among them, with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti another target, according to Manchester Evening News.

Jean-Michael Seri, who is currently on loan at AC Milan, Shakhtar Donetsks Fred, Napoli star Jorginho and Lazios Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are also contenders to fill the void left by Carrick.
Mourinho believes the new addition could prove paramount to Uniteds hopes of catching Manchester City next season and he is assessing all options before making any big decisions.
Its possible that two midfielders could be on their way, as the club look to add depth to the squad, which explains why Mourinho has demanded such a wide-ranging list of players are shortlisted.
