Olivier Giroud explains why Chelsea players were angry with him when he joined club

Chelsea star Olivier Giroud has revealed that his new team-mates were angry with him when he joined the club.
Giroud signed an 18-month deal with Chelsea for an undisclosed fee in January and the striker has gone on to score five goals in his opening 17 appearances for Antonio Contes side.
Just a few months before joining for Chelsea, Giroud set up Aaron Ramseys winner for Arsenal in the FA Cup final against the Blues.

Speaking to Standard Sport ahead of the clash, Giroud explained: When I arrived in January they were still a bit angry with me but I said, “I hope we will carry on the momentum because I can beat any team at Wembley and I will be your lucky charm — lets hope we do it”.

I have been unbeaten at Wembley since 2012, obviously first with Arsenal and then with Chelsea for the semi-final.
Hopefully I will be unbeaten after the final, too. Its a nice record and I want to keep it up.

Giroud is confident that Chelsea have the quality to beat United at Wembley.
He said: ”I dont agree with the people that are saying that Manchester United are favourites. It is 50-50.
